It sounds like he was diving solo with his mom onshore. ROV found him at 162 meters.

Lago di Garda: si tuffa e non riemerge, morto annegato il sub Andreas Miroslaw Stasiak
Google translation...
Lake Garda: dives and does not re-emerge, the sub Andreas Miroslaw Stasiak has drowned

It is the fourth victim of Lake Garda in the last ten days, the second in Brescia: the 45-year-old Polish tourist, who had not been known for several hours, was fished out of life, off the banks between Campione and Limone. This is Andreas Miroslaw Stasiak, from Gdansk, an expert diver who was immersed in one of the deepest (and therefore most suggestive) areas of all Benaco. He is the fifth diver who has died on Lake Garda in the past three years.

The lifeless body was found shortly after 9 pm, at 162 meters deep: the body was identified thanks to the Rov dei Volontari del Garda, the robot specialized in underwater research. The body was reassembled on the shore and then transferred to the hospital, available to the judicial authority: an autopsy cannot be excluded.

"reassembled"? That's gotta be a translate thing yes?
It is a literal translation of a word ‘ricomposta’ which could be used as meaning to make a body ready for viewing. But also as little as closing eyes and mouth, and pose arms and legs.
I found it quite strange in usage here. Nobody is allowed to interfere with a deceased until a magistrate has made his mind on COD and decided upon autopsy ... Nothing hinting to disassembled body.

With your guidance on the term, if the victim was brought up by the robot, it could refer to the rescuers removing him from the robot, possibly removing any unwieldy dive gear and placing on land for transport to the hospital.

Yes, quite possibly. Not a good way of reporting news anyway ...

The law force was of course on site, and the permission to transport was issued by the magistrate in charge of the inquiry before the body could be transported to the morgue.
"Ricomposto" is the standard term meaning the corp was placed in the coffin, after removing the diving equipment and other proofs, which are photographed, packed separately and numbered.

The site is sadly famous, as it already took the life of several other Polish scuba divers (at least 4). All deep divers, attempting to reach considerable depths. It is a very deep spot, in excess of 300m...

That’s exactly why I find it strange. In such situation the body goes in a body bag and carrier not a coffin.... a magistrate has to intervene and authorize any operation on the body. It cannot be moved without permission.
