Not sure if this is a Hog question or a DIR question, but I suspect people in this sub-forum will have some knowledge on both issues. Pondering the whole backplate setup, and I think I want to set it up with a hog harness. Currently not looking at going the whole route so I'm not interested in a fundies class to learn the intricacies of the setup and clip placement etc, but may go that way eventually.
I'm pondering this plate, done by a SB member and beautiful and supposed to fit better than a flat plate.

I'm starting this year off with a new drysuit and have added 8 pounds to my setup. I suspect that as I get used to my drysuit I can again drop some more lead but I'm running 28 pounds in 50 degree water. With a 6# ss plate, where else do you usually put the rest of the weight. I have a buddy that has non-ditchable weight pouches for his weights, along with trim weights. How would you prefer to weight yourself in the rig shown above?
