Beautiful video, thanks for sharing.

I have a question regarding water temp. Were the gloves necessary due to cold or was it just what you're used to?

Thank you,

The water temp is not a problem at 75-78 degrees.

Gloves serve as protection for the skin as it becomes very soft after hours of immersion.

Even if you don't touch anything in the cave you have to get out of the water using old ropes, slimy ladders full of shards or hold on to sharp rocks.

When learning to dive the caves we would spend a minimum of five hours in the water.

In the morning: briefings on the surface, practice in the Cenoté, practice dives in the cave and surface debriefing.

After lunch: rinse and repeat. :D

Great video.

I have a daughter on the way and on one hand I fantasize about cave diving with her but on the other it scares the hell out of me and she isn't even born yet.

I'm curious if have you discussed lost diver procedures and search procedure termination? Do you think you would be able to follow standard protocols on terminating a search and exiting alone if you have any gas left. Would she?

Cool video. Thank you sooooooo much. I only hope I get the skill she has. I'm only Apprentice, reacently earned. We will be back in May.

Very tough question to answer, all by itself worth a new thread.

We haven't discussed the matter precisely other than what the training tells what should be done.

I think I would probably go beyond the limits to save my daughter and I definitely don't want her do do the same, she has a whole life ahead of her while I have already 60 happy years behind me.

There are the ones left behind to consider also.

My mother passed away this Christmas morning, the impact this had on her loved ones makes one reflect even more on those matters.

Nice.

I have spent more than a few minutes in Dos Ojos and it is one of my favorite cenotes.

Thank you all.

I guess the pleasure we had doing that clip transpires and is beautifully rendered by the talent of Pietro Donnagio and his charming wife Angela.
