Dude, I'm serious...I asked them what it was, they said it was isdang loro. They served it steamed with fresh seaweeds...and ginisang sili...I haven't eaten that many sili in my life...it wasn't hot though.

20-30 minutes away from Vigan. I can't remember the name of the place, but there's this old dilapidated brick tower they call "baterya" which used to house cannons during the war, near ex-senator Maceda's resthouse. It's also got some kind of port/wharf near it. Oh, good snorkelling there...I had my first experience of using home-made goggles there which I borrowed from the locals. We stayed in a water front property of an old acquaintance. One of the best 4 days of my life, lying on the beach at night watching Hale-Bopp. We slept outside, lulled to sleep by the sea breeze

About the fish, well, the meat is nice. Due to my poor fish identification skills at the time, I can't confirm that it's a parrot fish though. It could be though, why else would they call it isdang loro...hehehe.
