What about something like that? I don't see how that fits into a DIN. The threads are pretty high up on it.
It looks like it has the same part number as the XS Scuba version. :11: On DIN plugs, the threads are usually on a sleeve that sits on a shaft- otherwise, you'd have to rotate the whole piece to screw it in (kinda like the brass jobbie). In otherwords, the threads move around and up and down.

well, it's too late for that. should i just pound on it with a hammer and straighten that sucker out? :eyebrow: *

I really appreciate all the help guys.

*btw, that was a joke and not to be taken as a smart *** remark. just wanted to clear that up, i know you guys don't know me.
You will need a special DIN hammer to do that.

Threads aren't high up. The threaded part moves down the shaft. The picture on the dive rite express site shows it with the threads at the bottom of the shaft, the others show it at the top.

edit: looks like it do it easy already explained it. oh well at least you have a picture to go with it now.

thanks, guys. i really appreciate it! i'll check back in and tell you if it works. if it doesn't, i'll give out my address so you can all send me money.

Dive Right In Scuba:
I could look up the price tomorrow for you if your interested? I dont have any in stock and cant remember the price of hand....Unlike some people think I dont sleep at the shop
What price can you do for the little brass ones? I like the bigger rotating XS Scuba one better, but my save-a-dive kit overfloweth! (I need a bigger box...) The brass ones are nice and compact and I've seen a number of local boats and shops that use them, so I assume they're totally fine.

Haven't needed one yet, frankly, but I'd really hate to miss a dive because no one can find the DIN adapter...

I'd steer away form the brass ones. Because they're one piece, sometimes they tighten down in such a position you can't get the fill whip on them. Leads you to playing all sorts of games like "how loose can I make this without blowing the O ring?" :)
