And the rest of the story -- Got my car back, 2,400 in repairs on a car with a blue book of 2300 to 2500. Insurance company is tracking the other guy down, seems like he may have fibbed a bit on his insurance company. Or on whether or not he even has insurance. Oh well, he has been cited for loss of control, DUI, and driving without insurance.

But, the good news is, I got my car back.

Ken

Ouch! I'm glad they were willing to repair the car even though it was so close to book value. How long did you have to promise to drive it to make it worth their while, another 5 years? :D

If that kid is as much of a twit as his jabber-jaw father-in-law the insurance company should hang him out to dry. I hope they throw the book at him.

(Apologies to Paul Harvey . . )

The final chapter to the story happened today. I checked my mail, and had an envelope from my insurance company. They had gone after the uninsured, DUI driver, and successfully recovered. So, I got a check in the mail today for the refund of my deductible.

Case closed.

Thanks for all the support from my fellow divers!

(And I still think that was the chintziest looking excuse for a Mustang!)

I'm happy you had a happy ending!

Glad you weren't hurt. Sounds like it was a real "Nascar" scene that happened. Good driving, Ber, for being able to avoid the accident. Ken, glad all turned out well for you in the end.

Ber... I'd love to see the C-card that you make up for Ken!! ;)
