just got back from hurghada, egypt last night. they had some weird laws over there concerning diving which included a ban on gloves and knives so that people wouldn't destroy sea life there. i like gloves and carry a small knife, but if i'd be willing to forgo both (or substitute) if that would help... by the way, i enjoyed my philippines dives much better than the hurghada ones.
I agree gloves in any water above 72 F should be banned, creates careless divers
