I dove with Neal Watson last year, but avoided their (very popular) shark dive. Our non-shark boat had only a handful of divers while the adjacent shark dive boat was packed. We had a lovely dive with an excellent guide/master. We even had a non-baited shark or two appear briefly on our dives. I'd do it again, but have no interest in baited shark dives with any operator. However, I suspect that the shark dives keep them in business and provide needed jobs there. Each to their own.

I feel a bit silly, I had some of it on film but I deleted it because it made me feel ill. I still have 1 short clip but I shouldn't have deleted the rest.
If your video is saved on an SD card or other physical storage, you can probably recover the deleted file(s). There are a number of undelete programs out there (or you can find your friendly neighborhood tech-savvy teenager).

I will be more diligent in future and avoid feed dives.
Bingo! Yahtzee! This is the big take-a-way. Some divers love them, but I really do not. I was forced into such a dive in Fiji with Tiger Sharks. They told us we needed to wear a black wetsuit but I don't wear wet suits. They made an exception. I got on the boat to find that the ribbed hose elbow on my BCD was broken. They sent for another BCD, but it was too small. 3 strikes and I bailed. I dove without a bladder on my backplate after that. Two days later, they're doing another Tiger shark dive, and really pushed me to go. Fine. I went. They had these aluminum poles that they beat the crap out of the sharks to keep the divers safe. I certainly did not like that one bit.

We're all different. Everyone else on that dive was stoked about it. It made me decide to never, ever do another shark feed dive. If they like it, let them play. I'll vote with my fins. Dive and let dive.

I get it. I was skunked from doing a shark feed dive in Jupiter due to the winds (waves at the inlet). The one thing I like when I watch videos of those dives is the DMs turning the sharks over and removing hooks from the mouths. I saw a lot of hooks in sharks' mouths in the other dives I did in Jupiter (with @Johnoly).

I get it.
If you like them, go ahead and make the dive. I want to see sharks acting naturally. The only time I don't want to see a shark is when I'm spearing.

At one point in my diving "career", my main goal was to see sharks. Went on a bull shark feeding dive in Fiji. It was an interesting experience, but not sure I'd do it again. Contrived and just asking for trouble. These days I'm quite happy not seeing sharks and there are certainly situations where I would definitely rather not see them.

My local harbour. I used to do a lot of scallop diving in low visibility in this area.

Exactly. You hit the nail on the head for me.

I had a very good experience on the Dolphin Dream for Tiger Beach and Bimini. At Bimini, the Nurse Sharks were always around. I don't remember anything but pushing them away. I got some nice photos of the Nurses after the main dive was over. This is the only baited/fed trip I have ever taken and probably the only one I will take.. I'm very glad I took this trip.
