Got this from another forum and I quote -
Hi (I omitted the name),
I was diving over the weekend and was told by a dive guide that he
witnessed a practice of divers that is very distressing. He said
that he saw a photographer kill his subject (in this case a frogfish)
after taking a photo of the fish.
It seems that this diver was involved in a photo contest and was very
competitive. Therefore, he destroyed his subject so that no one else
could take a photo of it.
I hope that this is an isolated incident and not indicative of the
general behavior of this nationality but perhaps you should consider
this for your underwater photo shoot contest?
