Wow, I had been looking for this thread. I was thinking of the wrong wreck. I always have this one on my mind because of Joel. Anywahoo - sorry.

You haven't dived the Andrea Doria for several months? :huh:
Last time I was on the Andrea Doria was summer of '06 did not get back last summer but probably will this one. Anyway. It's still the Grand Dame of shipwrecks. The sea is taking its toll on her, opening her belly and spilling out the goodies for those who are capable of searching and doing the dive.
I've got a pile of stuff from my 14 trips and 52 dives but the best is the last artifact I got which was a sink -- intact with all the stainless hardware.
The Andrea Doria continues to be an outstanding wreck dive for those who really love shipwrecks and are willing to put in the time, efforts, and energy to vist her.
