I find myself wondering how many of these negative postings are from competitors, vendors APD won't work with, and ex-employees. Could you help us put it into perspective?

If one had read the thread, one would know not many, if any, at all. Personally I have been on the board for a bit of time. I've dived with a great number of people from here. I've gotten to know many quite well and with getting to know them, I've come to respect their opinions. As one of the largest dive communities; we share the good, the bad, and the ugly about different operations we encounter.

Again, before posting to this thread, I'd hope people would at least read it. Much of this has already been gone over, including a post from the owner of AP, ad-nauseum.

OP was May 2007... let it die folks....

But I want to know about integrated weights and why they are so much better than ditchable weight.

Is this the snorkels section. I don't know if I should still carry one. What are the pros /cons to snorkels. :rofl3:

R.I.P....

That sounds like American Pro! A couple years ago I signed up for Rescue with them. A little more than a week before the class, an emergency came up at work and I had to drop everything and head up to Savannah for an undetermined amount of time. There was a chance I would be back in time for my class, but there was also a chance I wouldn't. Rather than risk having to tell them a day or two out (or less) that I couldn't do the class, I opted to call them as soon as I got off the phone with my boss, trying to be as courteous as possible. I literally let them know before I let my girlfriend know (yes, I always have my priorities right!). I was very apologetic but they didn't take it well at all and were incredibly rude to meon the phone. I decided to let them keep my deposit (they could stick it wherever they wanted as far as I was concerned) and I took the class with another shop about a month later. In my experience, they are staffed by an incredibly arrogant and rude staff and I know at least a couple other people who feel the same way.

I'm very easy, and hate any type of confrontation.

The people at the shop are arrogant, unfriendly, and full of themselves.

I had one bad experience with them, but figured maybe it was a a one off. The next time it happened that was that.

They are a lot of great dive shops in the area. Poop on these people.
