Hi everyone,

I was just given an old American Bristol compressor. I have searched the web thoroughly and can't find any information. I'm looking for a user or service manual for this model or a similar one. Ordinarily I would have passed on an antique compressor but my location, over 2 hours one way from air fills, makes me want to try to get this running. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Patrick

Plate on the compressor:
American Bristol, Inc.
Fresh Air Model 4E-1
Serial # 0876-31
4000 psi, 4 cfm, 2400 rpm max, 4 cfm, 2 hp, 220 vac.

Plate on the filter housing (I have found the filters online):
ABS Fresh Air
Model #42 AL-1
Serial # 0054
WP 4000 psi
Flow 10 cfm
Cartridge: 42XCAC

Plate on the frame:
Bristol Pneumatic Ltd.
Serial # 59227

It's not the best looking compressor but I hope this picture will give you enough detail. Let me know if you need a closer shot. Thanks a lot.
