Sigh... here we go again with Scubasarus and his "secret" sites that lots of people already know about.... :D

LOL:D

For me so far.....Cathedral Rock, but there are plenty of real close runners up. I'm sure a lot of those RI sites are great, but I can never see anything!! (poor vis)

I had one 20' vis day at wetherill and the wall around the goatpath was really nice, right down to 50' depth! (hope that wasnt a secret, hehe)

A real beauty just south of downtown. Puts Folly Cove in Gloucester to shame. Plenty of marine life but needs to be dove at slack. Pnly comparable dive sites are across the way off Deer Island, New Brunswick, Canada.

Haven't dived any sites in the area. Hope to this summer - around Brunswick to Lake Damiscotta.

But my favorite dive has been in the Yucutan Peninsula, cenote diving. We went to the Ponderosa cenote - loved the haloclines but the best was Taj Mahal. It was like flying and the views of the sunlight breaking the surface and haloclines was amazing. Got some decent video (for me anyway) and would go back there in a heartbeat.

Anyway, hope to get some Maine diving in this summer.
