Liquid Blue has 120's and generally let's you dive it, whereas some ops require everyone go up when the first diver gets low. I'm not really interested in coming up with 1200-1500 psi. Kind of defeats the purpose.

While I have not dived with them from those that I know who have, Kami & Steve seem to run a very good operation, plus they are really nice people (as is 3P ).
There is enough competition in Cozumel that no-one will not last over time (or on Scuba Board) unless they can provide quality product.

There was talk earlier in this thread that LB has switched from the 120ft^3 tanks.

I think that was LU, not LB. As I said in a follow up post, LU has made Steel LP95 their default, with a hope to add new 120s (their previous default) in about 6 months, for divers who need these large tanks.

To the best of my knowledge there are not any rentals or 'loaner' 120's available.

HP120's are available to us as a rental from Aico.

Only 32/36% nitrox is available on island (pre mixed still I assume? has this changed?).

I can get EAN40 from Aico.

I am happy to hear that about AICO. They really are great people. I have never picked up a tank there that did have the pressure checked prior to loading. Always full fills. If it was not a full fill they will find out why, typically a valve or neck seep which they document.

Correct. They fill to 3300psi, then pressure check as they load for delivery. If one of my tanks comes to 3100psi, they quickly pull it from the delivery, substitute one of theirs at no additional costs, then service my tank to find the air leak.

A certain Op that I no longer patronize used to have their boats loaded with 80 AL tanks filled below 2800, sometimes 2600. I got all kinds of attitude from them when I mentioned it.
Hence the reason why I fired them...(and the snotty attitudes of a couple of their DM's...)
