one word: no!

Above water - two words: Storm Whistle
Below water - two other words: Buddy Skills

Under water I hate them. I have been on guided dives that the guide honks and honks and honks. I hate them.........

I like to dive to relax and have silence not to listen to quack, quack, quack for the whole dive.

I would hate that, too. I have been looking around for something I can use to get my buddy's attention is a nice way and I think I have found it. It's a little thing you shake and it makes a NICE but noticeable sound underwater. It's called "H2YO" noisemaker made by a company called ReefNet:

ReefNet Inc. | H2YO Noisemaker

I had a dive guide that has one of these and it works for me. (My wife can tell you just how much I HATE unnecessary noises).
