Guys, I am trying to reset an Aladin Pro however not getting very far. I have followed the articles and video showing how to change the battery on the Aladin Pro and have succeeded 5 to 6 times and 2 times on a Aladin Sport however this version of Aladin Pro is not playing ball - could this be a generation 2 as it is oil filled.

Looking at the circuit board there is only one battery wire to the circuit board/battery - this is on the +ve side.

Once a new battery is connected I get the 'ERR' message. When I do get the normal reset procedure to work the computer just goes off and does not respond.

Any ideas would be gratefully received :) Cheers!

I have the same old Aladin Pro from 1998. It did shutdown about 20 times, but I kept going, and heard the bip while scratching the wire on the pod (with a 2032 battery).
