Alberta Canuck here. I dive an AL 80 with my drysuit no problem!
I used a stainless BP/W and only need to carry an additional 12 lbs.
 
For single tank, using an AL80 versus a common steel HP100, you only need an extra 5# of lead when using the AL80.

The AL80 is +4.4# buoyancy when empty. The HP100 (at least, one common model) is -0.5# buoyancy when empty.

So, if you are weighted to be neutral with an empty HP100, you would only need to add 5# to be neutral with an empty AL80.

Nobody likes carrying extra lead, but an extra 5# isn't really THAT big a deal.
