Air Jamaica carry-on rules

Has anyone had any recent experience with Air Jamaica and their carry-on limits? Most airlines I've flown allow two carry-ons, but Air Jamaica seems to only allow one, according to their website. Has anyone had problems carrying two pieces on board in recent months? Thanks.

I think all airlines now specify one carryon, with one personal item. I think AJ says one carryon, and makes no mention of the "personal item". I would only count on being able to take one carryon item.

You leaving from Boston? AJ takes over a portion of a Delta counter for their one flight... I think they get there around 6am.

I flew AJ in September 02 to Bonaire. I took one back pack and my purse on board.
Usually the 'one carry on and one personal item' is allowed.

Flew AJ IAH to Montego Bay to Bonaire and back in Dec 2002.
Carried one bag with regs, one bag with camera and a purse. No problems.

...for the responses. I think it might be safer to try and re-pac. Was hoping to take a small suitcase with regs, laptop, camera, & essentials in it and a pelican case with the camera housing as carry-ons, but might have to improvise and leave the pelican at home. We'll see.

I am planning on a medium size carry-on and shoving most of my clothes and my regulator bag in it. The rest of my gear is going in the dive bag. Leaving the laptop and camera at home.

I use a rolling bag I got at EMS.... it's pretty much the max size for a carryon. Of course they don't seem to make it anymore.

Then I put my laptop in one of these
laying flat against the bottom of the bag. Plenty of room for regs, camera, and other essentials.

Well, once I ditched the pelican, things seemed to work out. I'm using one of those overnight laptop bags that has room for some clothes (as well as the laptop, of course) and still passes for a personal item; and a duffel with the regs, camera, housing, and other misc. stuff. Just gotta remember to steal enough bubblewrap from work for the housing
