I currently have Scubapro Twin Jets, that I love, however they are very large. I am currently getting ready for my trip to Cancun and then Cozumel in a few weeks and would like to get an affordable travel fin that I would only be using every year or two. My suitcase is currently at the weight limit with my wife's gear and mine (without our regs and computers), and we still have a few small things that we would like to add to the case (our mesh backpacks). I was looking at getting the Scubepro Go Fin but they seem next to impossible to find in stock. Is there anything comparable in size, weight and cost out there that anyone can recommend? I will be flying mayair from Cancun to Cozumel, so my baggage restrictions are somewhat tight.

Don't know about cost but AquaLung advertises a fin as being travel friendly. Just look on their website under travel.

Force fins pack very small and light. I love mine.

Cozumel and Cancun means boat diving.

Consider getting a full foot fin. Smaller and lighter than an open heel, no boots, faster for flutter kicking than an open heel fin.

Careful, though; they have two travel fins....one is really just for snorkeling, the other is expensive.

I had a set of the Oceanic Accel fins....nice, but they did not fit my foot. I now have (for travel use) Hollis F2 fins.

Travel fins tend to be short. I've previously used the Hollis (Huish) F2, Aeris (Oceanic) Accel and Apeks RK3. Whilst they pack nice I found all of them verging on woeful (Accels the best of the bunch) when encountering currents moderate and above. I gave up on travel friendly fins and now just use my DR XTs. I'd rather deal with weight/packing issues than suffer unnecessarily when diving. The Avanti Quattro Plus are a light "full sized" fin, the Seawing Gorillas are also a very light fin, both do better in current than the travel fins I listed. I'm an XS/S size which does make a difference to fin length in some cases. Good luck.
