Have you considered an overseas course and a dog sitter? They often have free housing for 1 person and cheap housing for a second person.

Thanks for the tip. Will definitely look into. I am cash strapped now and would need to use financial aid. Which means college. But I will still look into.

Worth noting: if being cash strapped is a problem, becoming a scuba instructor is unlikely to solve it.

Scuba can be a lot of fun, but as a career option there's typically a large gap between dreams and reality. You should know what your employment prospects are before you invest a lot of resources.
