I'm sure Santi is great, but the battery is unaffordable. From what I can tell it's $1500 USD. Plus, you have to install a valve into your drysuit so you can haul a massive battery on the outside of your gear. The total cost for gloves is $2000-2250. What are some affordable options for cold hands and feet that are heated? I've been diving for 10 years in New England and between hypotension, bradycardia, 1st degree AV block and raynaud's my hands and feet get cold and need heat. They are beyond all the recommendations of types of material. Anyone have any affordable and safe ideas for heated gloves and socks?
TIA!

Not what you're asking, but have you tried a heated vest? If your core is warm your extremities might be OK. That's how it works for me, and I also have Reynaud's Syndrome in my right hand. However, I have a friend (with no Reynauds) who needs heated gloves even when his core is warm, so YMMV.

Whatever you use, you will need to install a port for the power cord, though.

I just invested in a vest. I am looking for heated gloves and socks that aren’t $2000 investment. Thanks!

The vest that you picked will determine comparability. If it’s in suit, you’re likely SOL. You can try to cheap into a set of gloves and socks via places like SmartTex or DIY, but you’re not getting around a suit through port, the physical gloves and socks themselves, and a 10Ah or larger battery.

If you describe the rest of your exposure protection and preparations, there’s likely a ton to be improved there that isn’t heated gloves and socks.

There are tons & tons of 12v motorcycle glove liners & socks out there. You'll just need a Y to run a cable back to your chest port.

The vest, gloves and socks are going to add up to a huge draw on your battery, probably close to 100W - which is going to require a massive battery to combat the big voltage drop

I tried those. Under pressure, they get much hotter and last much less time. I keep them around for sea level use.
You tried the Sodium Acetate version? There's an old thread on them and it was specifically mentioned that the heat output was not pressure sensitive.

The iron oxide version does ramp up along with the PPO2.

I will have to check. It could be some time before I do, because we are mid-move and I'm not even sure what state they are in. (Edit) Mine are Snappy Hear. Sodium acetate per their website: How It Works
