Ok, I am spoiled by Bonaire. We will be making out 3rd trip there next month and bring our newest diver with us. this will be his first dive trip. We are wanting to go somewhere else, but I would like somewhere we can get in plenty of dives. Again i am spoiled with 4-5 dives a day. I guess what I am looking for is somewhere we can get in a good amount of dives and at a good price. We are going to Bonaire for a little ove 400$ per person. I am willing to go up to 600-700$ per person, a little more for AI. Can someone recommend something for me.
Also can you do shore dives if the boat is full?
Thanks,
Mark

I was going to ask the same question Bonaire for $400pp. I have been looking everyday. We have dates picked out for when we want to go but still looking for that great deal and can not find anything that cheap. Not even the Keys.

When did Bonaire become one of the Bay Islands?

Maybe this is the deal....

I too love Bonaire.

$400 per person in Bonaire? It might refer to the cost per person if you shared accommodations for a week?

Wanting to go somewhere else? This is in the Bay Islands forum, I'll head that way with you.

4-5 dives per day, shore dive that people skip boat dives for, never crowded boats, $800~1000 (AI)? That means CoCoView. You can also share a nearby beach house for the $300+ price tag Playa Miguel Rates

Roatan isn't Bonaire, and CoCoView will give you the feel of Roatan "as it was".

We go to CCV once a year and try to do Bonaire every two. Other places as well.

That price is for the room and diving and rent truck split by 4 people, it is with Wannadive. I maybe should not have posted that secret.
I am looking for info on the bay Islands. Something compareable to what we are getting on Bonaire. we would like to try somewhere else next year. Sorry if I confussed anyone.
thanks

I stayed at Fantasy Island Resort on Roatan last year and I would definitely recommend it. The price was really low, one week with 3 boat dives each day and unlimited shore dives and all-inclusive food was somewhere around $700 per person. The diving was really wonderful and the resort was very nice. All we did was dive, sleep, eat, and read on hammocks on the beach.

Well Thanks, everyone for the info. I will look at both COCO view and FIBR.

If I may add my 0.02$ to this... On Roatan, the 2 places you should be looking at are Cocoview and FIBR (as others have pointed you to) since these places will give you packages with unlimited shore diving. Now for between the two... if price is the most important consideration, FIBR would be your best shot. They have lower rates than Cocoview and a lot more to do for non-divers. But, the dive operation at FIBR seems to not be as good as Coco (which gets rave reviews). Cocoview seems to have a better instalations for Diving your brains out and the resort seemed a bit nicer to my eyes (I was looking from FIBR accross the chanel). Either is a good choice for tons of diving in Roatan, but if money is no object, I'd choose Coco over FIBR.

Just trying to help!:coffee:
