Im like DrBill I may hit twice as year. You guys keep implying that I would go diving high. I WOULDNT if you go diving high, you deserve what happens to you. Im a responsible diver and I would never endanger myself or my buddie in that way.

Im just wondering what the LONG TERM affects are BESIDES the ones of smoking.

Administrator, feel free to close this.

as i mentioned befor i spent a week diving with a pot smoker. He wasn't high on the boat, but he had been smoking during the week. Now for my observations. He put his BC and reg on the tank backwards several times consecutivelly. He didn't fasten down the tank band 3 or 4 times. While we were simulating a diving emergency he totally ignored my problem (i'm just glad it wasn't a real emergency) and wrapped another diver (with no gear) in the anchor line intentionally because "he made it hard for me to rescue him".
Now i don't know if his problems were a result of pot or just a bad attitude, but i'm inclined to believe it was the pot.

I see that this has rapidly reverted to silliness, unsubstantiated opinions and in some cases insinuations that you personally may be diving while under the effects of marijuana. If you would like me to close the thread, I will.

In the meantime, here is what the National Institute on Drug Abuse has to say about the long-term effects:

Helpful.
