My wife's Elite malfunctioned after 7 dives and kept showing deco violation mode despite her diving the same very conservative profile as I did (using the same model Elite as she has). After 24 hours (to let the computer get out of deco mode) she used it again (while taking down a second computer as a back up) and it went into deco violation mode within a few minutes.

We called ScubaToys where we purchased the computers and they immediately sent us out a new one and sent the old one to Aeris.

Obviously there is a quality control problem that affects a small but significant percentage of these computers. My Elite with about 75 dives on it has perfromed flawlessly and her new one with 25 dives on it has worked well so far.
