I'm going to the Solomon Islands in November.
I'm going to be spending time in Australia/NZ both before and after the diving in Solomons. I've got my flights to/from Sydney sorted out.
However, I need to book tickets to the Solomons. I know that Pacific Blue has direct flights from Brisbane to Honiara. I'm afraid of being over their 20kg limit. They've told me its AU$10 per kilo which I can deal with as I'll probably be just a bit over. However, my concern is they do not have to carry the overweight bag on the same flight (even though you've paid).
It will depend on the amount of baggage and cargo they have on the flight.
I'm getting on a liveaboard the same day so will need my things. They only have a couple flights a week so there is no margin for error.
Anyone had any experience on Pacific Blue with heavy diving equipment?
Thanks for your help!
