That setup sounds great for getting ready to do a negative entry when the swell is 2 - 3m lol

50m and a small deco obligation and it's not on offer to everyone. Those trained for deco sure .... yeah most dives end around 45 minutes at the surface but still plenty of gas left at end of dive.

You are not spending a lot of time at 50m at the cleaning station. Where are you going to get Trimix in Lombok?

BSAC was 50m on air for deco dives back in the days of no DC, no SPG lol Showing my age lol

Anyway no one is forced to do any dive to that depth. Don't like a dive offered just decline.

Yeah the dives are fabulous. Going to dive there again.

Techdivers are not able to make a negative entry? Do you have any idear how f-ing heavy i am with all my tanks lights and gear?? For sure i can!

Anyway, trimix is way to expensive and a hassle....

Most divers do not even carry SMB let alone a satellite transmitter.
BTW, it is dead easy to claim anything on line.

It's true, the last time I needed to employ y dsmb out of 4 people I was the only one carrying one and it was needed.

Of course I am. It's fun being on a small boat in 3m swells and getting all your gear together for your negative entry.

Then when you end up a mile away from the boat you get picked up its fun getting all that gear back on the boat without dropping or losing anything.

Well i guess the equipment will be your stage and yourself with a D12 on your back. But the thing is, if conditions are that bad and the boat is that small, maybe don't do the dive, or dont go to 50 meter.

But the thought like, well, lets do a deco to 50 meter on a single tank of air since the swell is that big... is a bit worrying to us...
It was indeed fashionable (and maybe very brave) but that style of diving went out of fashion nowadays.

Not sure what difference getting back on the boat with heavy gear weather you finish the dive 2 metres away from the boat or 1 mile away from the boat would make?

I would rather be 2m away from the boat knowing the crew knew where I am.
1m smb is probably useless in 3m of swell as well as 2 miles away from the boat.
