I just don't log dives
Today after a dive on the Byron and a short SI, Jim - Eric & I hit the Advance in near shore south of Sheboygan,Wisc.
She was built 1853
lost 9-8-1885
Home Port Chicago Ill,
Lives lost 5
Length 117'
Beam 25'
Hold 9'
She lays in about 80 feet of water south of Sheboygan,Wisc as said she is the regular Fillet Schooner as she lays flattened out on the bottom, with her center board upright and windlass with some chain, other items are stripped off her.
This dive was good as vis was around the 75' range, temps low 50's all in all it was a good time but the ride back to Jim's house was a bumpy one with winds out of the SE she laid out some real rollers and we had a mild rain.
Here is a short video as its real over cast its dark,
Brad

Thanks for sharing Brad. I've only done two dives on GL wrecks so far (the Mack), but am sure looking forward to doing more. I enjoy your videos. Next best thing to being there!

Hey Thank you!
Thats why I do it, to give divers and Non divers a idea of the sites and whats on the bottom. It gets me to sites I have not did a dive on for a while, and to sites on my wish list.
My rig is home made just a (pvc sch 40 tube and lens) and on this dive as I replaced a tape topside in the rain & it fogged up and the quality is way down, and well I need to put on the light's but it gets the idea out there.
Hey Lake Michigan and well all the Great lakes have some great dives to offer if you can get past the cool temperatures.
And if your ever up in cheese country hit me up as we could splash on a local wreck!
Dive safe,
Brad

Great video Brad! I actually caught myself equalizing as you guys descended :D I sure enjoy watching your video's and share them with my fellow divers.

I finished my AOW this weekend at Bull Shoals. so my new card should be coming in the mail. :coffee:

Congrats on the AOW C card!It will take some time to come in the mail, but you got the temp card and you have started down the path of skills.
But Great Job! Now all you need is to get wet! Thats how you learn, by doing>
You still have time to get up this way and get some dives in with me! the weekend of sept 9th I am in town doing a dive or two with a SB member from Texas, another local SB if his dry suit comes to test and you could make a day trip up as its not that far to drive if the weather works.

both Jim and Eric dove wet last weekend and I should of cause I did sweat in the dry suit.
Dive safe,
Brad

Brad.... Nice video clip. I enjoyed it...

BTW, by the when can we dive in the Lake Michigan, October or November?

I love your videos too. The wreck videos make me want to dive!!! The jellyfish video... You know, the first memorable thing I saw underwater was a big jellyfish. It was big enough to eat ME, and to this day, I'm mesmerized by them. Great work, moneysavr!

End of Oct I kind of winterize the boat, but it can be made ready if I can launch it,and weather works as Oct winds are allready blowing dives are few but well enjoyed!
Hit me up if your in the area for a dive!
Brad

Thanks
Shan Chan,
Hope your club makes the trip up to Door county next year as I sent Dean the thumbs up and heck may see you guys up that way , and the videos are fun to look at as the snow blows!
