But, both gauges I linked to say they are glycerine-filled. I think I read somewhere else that a glycerine-filled gauge would NOT be suitable for O2 service? Does it even matter? The gas inside the gauge never touches the liquid that the gauge is filled with, right?

I use glycerin filled gauges with my O2 whip. It doesn't come in contact with the gas inside, it does dampen the needle but in retrospect I would skip the filled gauges. Its more fuel that serves no purpose.

I use a filled gauge on the compressor (vibration), and a dry model for the fill whip (cheaper to replace when it does get dropped).

The fittings that I found are only rated for something like 800 psi.

So, it looks like my only good option is to get the Divesoft adapter that has the G1/4 threads and then get a pressure gauge that has G1/4 threads.

@rjack21, the only G1/4 gauges I have found are glycerine-filled, so it's not that I'm spending up on purpose.

Besides, this gauge is only $18.49, with free shipping:

I would prefer to find one that only goes to 4500 psi and has more precise markings (100 psi resolution, instead of 200), but I think this one will be okay. and it's only 19 bucks...

For anything less than 40% I don't see an issue. But for 50%+ analysis I would go with something from a known manufacturer with a known supply line. Cause there is no way to O2 clean a gauge. And if their facility was dirty and there's glycerine in the bourdon tube its going to go bang.

@rjack321, just off the top of your head, do you have a line on a suitable PG with G1/4 threads? I haven't found one other than the ones on eBay that all seem "generic".

Getting that august industries g1/4 to 1/4" npt adapter is really the way to go.

Yeah, I pretty much just came to the same conclusion. Thank you and Bob for all the patience and help!

Okay, I ordered the BSP to NPT adapter, the (apparently) required bushing for the BSP side, and a 4000 psi Oxygen gauge from August.

*pshew*! :D
