Many times when taking a shot, something goes wrong. In this case my strobe failed, but I like the effect of the lights and shadows, so I kept the pic... Anybody else have examples of this?

But yes, you are right, it the results can be fun and opens the boundarys to trying new lighting angles and exposures... Nice one...
 
Great mistake, I like the way the eyes came out!
 
I had a similar strobe failure a few years ago and got this scorpionfish shot illuminated only by my dive light. I call it the "Monster in the Deep"
