Every retort I can think of to that would get me banned. Can we talk about something else? How' bout them Astros? ;^)

Me too. Frankly I'd prefer to talk about them Horns. From the age of 14, I knew I was coming to Austin to go to college. It did not disappoint. I still miss living there VERY much. I envy you my friend. But, I had to do what I had to do. ... One Day.

Well that's another admission that they do intend to allow topless on the beach which is the very public beach shared by all isn't it. The times they are a changing.
Whats wrong with that? Men walk around topless all the time...why shouldnt women? Cant see the difference really.

Normally, I'm able to discern quite a difference, but seeing that you're from New Zealand, maybe it isn't as clear down there..

:D
:rofl3:
Yeah for sure men and women are built different but if a bloke can show his chest, why cant a woman?
If women walked around topless all the time maybe breasts wouldn't seem so sexual? I mean, as great as they are, they are built for feeding babies, a perfectly natural function and are not actually a sex organ.

In all honesty I think the western world has become far too prudish

That would be a real shame, IMO. ;^)

Forgive my naivete, but here on ScubaBoard this is the first I've heard about this "Lifestyles" stuff. From context it appears that it's about folks who want to run around naked, trade sex partners in pairs and in groups, and otherwise indulge themselves in general debauchery. Have I got it right? I certainly don't want to google it from work for obvious reasons...

I'll save you the hassle Gordon.

The first response that comes back is - Lifestyle Condoms! (I should stop here)

The next is The Lifestyles Family of Companies - Your Portal to the Lifestyles Community

The third is from wiki:

Euphemism

The term "the lifestyle" can also mean what is more commonly called swinging. This term was first used in the early 1970s by ClubWideWorld, a swing club in Anaheim, California, for advertisements in the Los Angeles Free Press.

So there you have it...

Hese's a travel site with an ad of what to expect ( it was added to the thread at TA and the person has verified that it is a legit trave agency).
Welcome to A & S Travel Center of Florida
So far it seems that the resort is being marketed by several travel sites as an upscale adults only luxury resort, while others are marketing as a "lifestyles" resort. How on earth the different people who are booking it at either side of the target market will get along together is one very big question.

This is another message re the Aura thread.
Just read the newest review about Aura. Interestingly enough it was posted by bborourke, who I believe to be Betsy O'Rourke - Sr. VP of Media Relations and marketing at Wyndham. The same woman I emailed last week on a friday night and got a response almost immediately with the same sort of info. "Aura was lovely and she saw no nudity..."...vague yet believable. Of course, no owning up to Wyndham's involvement in all this confusion....no admission of misleading info. Not that I'd expect an admission of guilt on this type of forum but its as if she doesn't have a CLUE about the uproar....even though she does, I'm sure, know what's going on. So frustrating

see my POST on my April 1st stay at on the other thread concerning lifestyle changes at AURA. Its a HONEST REVIEW on our stay at AURA when they upgraded us from Sabor. Pros and Cons!!!! SB would not let me multiple post it for some reason on this thread. Austingent69

But yes a well known LIFESTYLE web site and travel company has signed a contract with AURA. Talked to the REP at AURA. They have a very big client base, so expect changes to happen at Wyndham - AURA!!!

Everyone can sleep better tonight. This email was sent to travel agents today.

"With great regret we inform all interested parties that Islander Collection, owner of Aura Resort Cozumel, acting on undisclosed pressure, has rescinded its legal contract with LSO, Ltd and will not continue as a lifestyles oriented resort. All questions, including requests for refunds, should be directed to Managing Director Carlos del Pino (cdelpino@islandercollection.com) and Chairman Benny Guevara (bguevara@leisurepartners.org), 1-888-293-0293, or for Mexico 011-800-001-7333, www.islandercollection.com"

I called Lifestyles Tours and received a verbal confirmation.
