Yeah, you can really see the forerunners from the swell filling in on the Port Hueneme buoy. The last reading was 6.69ft, 20sec, 235 Deg. 20 seconds is some seriously long period ground swell ... it's running deep :beerchug:

Yeah, check out the Harvest buoy (off Point Conception). It's already logged readings up 24 ft.

I stopped at T-Street for a quick surf check on the way home. Nothing noteworthy ... probably about chest high.

Hope to see you soon John, it's been too long. I promise I won't scare the crap out of you next time :D hahaha!

Billy

Funny guy, just keep looking over your shoulder.:rofl3:
Hey report back to me tomorrow after your atempt to dive & tell how bad it is. Maybe if it's ok to dive on Sat. you can make it out to White point.

John

Rig, thanks for the run down of swell science. I may cruise over before work to see the action. It looks like a great day to watch surfers.

Tonight.

Vets.

WOAH.

46 minute dive. 45 minutes of which we were thinking, "this should be an interesting exit..."

OY.

I'll accept that dare. I plan to do three dives tomorrow on our boat. Of course we're in the lee of the island so I don't expect much bounce!

Bill, can you shoot some underwater video of the west end of the island for us. Oh yeah, can you get the swells from underwater?

Ken, that was exactly what I was thinking I would be thinking if i were to go diving. How was the exit?

for those who want to watch and cant be there
Redondo Beach

Any affects for saturday's dive?

Just got back from the Cove in San Diego. I can say without a dout that those were the biggest waves I've seen in my life - in person at least.
