6m (during): Stow hose from 50 (unclip from hip; clip to SMB; stow hose; unclip from SMB; tuck back under arm)

I'm not sure I've ever seen it done that way. Why are you clipping it to your SMB?

So I don't have to hold the reel/spool while I'm stowing the hose. It also holds the stage out in front while I'm doing it

You don't just clip the spool or lock the reel?

I generally let the spool just dangle there.
 
Or hand it off to a teammate momentarily.

Yah, or that. It obviously depends on conditions. In calm water, it's nice to lock it off at the stop depth and let the team use it as a visual reference.
