Sounds to me like you took a hit on your first and only dive. Your description of that dive was pretty vague though so could you be a little more specific in the details of the dive.
What was your depth? What was your total bottom time? How fast did you ascend? Were you using a computer? Did you end the dive when your ear started ringing or did you continue the dive? Was your ear bothering you the rest of the week when you were feeling tired? Did you contemplate seeking medical attention while you were in Coz? Have you been checked out by a doctor to see if you have some underlying problem?
