I was thinking about getting a 5mm suit for the Outer Banks, but I might go to Florida so I'm trying to consider the effects of that. It seem like Winter in FL would be ok, but Summer might be different. I mean around mid-Florida.
 
As I said, your tolerance for the cold is dependent on several factors, including body mass and age.
