Good 5mm Hoods

Hey yall, does anyone have good 5mm hood recommendations? I'm already wearing a Bares 5mm wetsuit with SP 5mm booties, so I was considering between the SP everflex, Bares hood, Probe 5mm hood or IST.

I'm from Singapore so im diving around South East Asia though I get cold easily when diving especially night dives and I noticed my face, my head usually is cold. I'm looking to future proof for subsequent liveaboards/dive trips to further places like egypt, mexico etc.

Also, consider a 5/3 mm hooded vest. I always take it along in case my primary wetsuit is not enough. I haven't worn a hood for many years

I generally use a 3mm hood so can’t say much about a 5mm; I only used a 5mm SP once (on rental Basis) and that was alright (I was diving in a German lake so I’d say it’s overkill for Egypt/Mexico; as an Egyptian who also get cold)

Instructor friends of mine (in Egypt) swear by how effective k01 hoods/gloves are so maybe give that a look

I’ve worn a lot of 5MM, 7MM, and 10MM hoods. The best I’ve found are the waterproof hoods. I also really like the shark skin hooded vest. That’s what I typically wear under my 3 & 5 MM suits. I do have waterproof hoods that I will wear with my 7MM suit.

I saw them too, but they arent available in Singapore so I cant try before buying >.<

Sizing is pretty standard, I haven’t seem them on display except at Boot show; But I understand the predicament of wanting to try it on first
They are in general customizable through their website, I plan to get one for „colder“ diving myself
If you meet someone that has similar size (head as you) as them for a dry try (I did that with my instructor)
