Sorry I meant write aluminum rather then stainless..

I’m going to pick this one up

again thanks for your time , and if your ever in San Antonio and need anything don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thanks again!!

for anyone wanting to do this, I do NOT recommend using the compressor above.

If you're gonna do it, this series of compressors uses the same twin diaphragm style compressors used in oxygen concentrators and hookah systems. More than $40 obviously, but it's the right style compressor pump vs. the other oil-less systems that get very hot and may offgas some stuff from the compressor itself. I'd dive with this with no problem after cleaning the tank/hose or go straight out of the pump, but I'm not ballsy enough to use the one listed above

The compressor you liked to is not available anymore. I saw this one in the “related items”. Is it basically the same?

I'm not aware of any air compressors with stainless steel tanks. I'd be less concerned about aluminum than stainless personally. If you need stainless, you can always buy a stainless tank and remove the pump from the stock tanks, but I wouldn't bother with aluminum tanks.

This one is aluminum. It will be fine provided you are only in a pool and not going deeper than 20ft.

If you have a second diver or need to go deeper, than you need more CFM. Either with a second compressor, or a bigger one like this

Both of these have aluminum tanks as well which is ideal

When it comes to the larger compressor you quoted, what would say is a "safe" depth for a single diver as well as two divers?

I'm contemplating building a "from the boat" setup and am looking for the compressor specs. I believe I have the rest nailed down (reg, hose, filter, etc.) - but I'm still a bit fuzzy on the compressor recs.

Thanks!

Brownies Third Lung says the following
4cfm@50psi compressor
2 divers/70'-80' and 3 divers/35'-45

7cfm@50psi compressor
3 divers/80'-90'* and 4 divers/50'-60'*

2.5cfm@50psi
1 diver 50'-55' and 2 divers 25'-30'*

5.5cfm@50psi
2 divers to 50'-55' / 3* divers to 25'-30'

Essentially it is 1cfm/diver/atmosphere in depth. The bigger one that I posted is roughly comparable to the last compressor on the list from Brownies *little bit bigger*, so I would stick with the 2 divers to 55ft recommendation. Single diver to probably 90ft, but you don't want to go much deeper than that on a hookah because the IP is fixed and breathing gets funny
