A knife may not cut spring straps, but it will cut an Achilles tendon.

Ok, just in case we get onto a Jonnythan bashing campaign, i would act the same to anyone if they had spring straps and thought i couldnt break their straps or that they could out swim me away from a shark! ;)

Some research...

Have looked through the PADI manual and done some internet searching to no avail...

Has anyone heard of a basic 5 rule system (the five most important safety rules in diving), from which agency, I know not....
