Well, we splashed for the first time this season Saturday at Kettle Cove. I had never dove there, and afterwards, not sure what people like about it :) Anyway, 38F, 10' vis. We stayed in for 30 mins with all of us in wetsuits. My aqualung kept me pretty comfy. Nothing to see except one small Jellyfish, some small scallops, and a beer can (empty).

Dramatic improvement today, 44-45F, Two Lights Cape Elizabeth. One large crab and two starfish. :) 40' max depth, using 1500psi (100 steel), for 40 mins.

Not much out there yet. I went out to Sandwich MA town beach on May 2 just to get in the water. Whopping 15' of water. Saw about 3 hermit crabs, a few Jonah crabs, no lobster and no fish. Don't know what the water temp was, I need to get a thermometer. Things should be picking up soon.

Agreed. I'm diving mainly to get wet, but also to see what are local spots look like as they slowly come to life as the water warms up. Plus, once I see lobsters, I'll know to put my traps in the water :angrymob:
