Great post Chug...

but even Vandy kicked ass today. (38-8)

Great games in the SEC. The Auburn Georgia game is always one of my favorites. Auburn embarrassed itself. What's even sadder is that this was their "buy week" and they had TWO weeks off to prepare for it, and still got run over like a bus hit them. :shakehead: I expect it's possible for Ted Roof to be fired as Defensive Coordinator at Auburn:

Well I guess it could bed worse.... Arkansas is ass whooping Tennessee 49-7 right now (4th quarter).

Florida got edged out by South Carolina 17-12.

Not SEC, but I was rather excited to watch the final moments of the Boise State game. But only because unranked TCU was ahead by 1 point as the seconds clicked away in the 4th quarter... as it got down last few seconds... Boise State's kicker CHOKES and misses an EASY field goal! :thumb:

So at least we won't have to watch Boise play for the BCS! :happydance:

I know this sounds mean spirited but I am kinda' sad that Boise State is now pretty much out of contention for the SEC Invitational...errr...National Championship.
I have a very dear friend that moved out there to potato land about 25 years ago from SoFla and he being a football fan, immediately became a Boise State fan...err...RABID HOMER INSUFFERABLE BRONCO FAN.
He has been talking trash about the SEC being afraid to schedule them for at least one game a year, and based upon the way they whupped up on Georgia in the first game this year, I was powerless to argue the point.

Looks like it's gonna be one of the Oklahoma teams in the big dance with the Bayou Bengals in a "Home Game" dans N'awlins.
'Bama gets to slug it out with the Oregon Ducks or smash Clemson in the Sugar Bowl in what amounts to yet another "Home Game" dans N'awlins.
Actually I guess it might be Clemson or Va Tech in the Orange Bowl depending on how things settle out.
Oregon in the Rose Bowl or something?
I dunno....I cannot keep track of those lesser conferences.
Too much movement these days.
And where is TCU going?
Into the ACC? Big East? WAC-PAC-Big 12..or 10...or 17.....I'm pretty cornfused.
That makes about as much sense as a football bat.

And of course I would be remiss in not touching on the other Bowl Games................
But we really as SEC fans could pretty much give a crap unless the SEC is represented in those other games.

Yup, what he said.

Seriously? Against Furman?

Looks like a LSU vs Georgia for the SEC Championship.

From what I saw in the Kentucky game, I wouldn't be so anxious to play LSU if I were Georgia.

gotta get by OM & the piggies 1st------Ga looked like their old selves today, bad........

What happens if Houston goes undefeated?

My Tigers still got to get past the Hogs, but LSU vs Houston would suck.

So here's the BCS lineup for this weekend.

#1 - LSU - Win
#2 - Oklahoma State - Lost to Iowa
#3 - Alabama - Win
#4 - Oregon - Lost to USC
#5 - Oklahoma - [-]Losing[/-] LOST to Baylor
#6 - Arkansas - Win
#7 - Clemson - Got their asses whipped by unranked NC State.
#8 - Virginia Tech - Win
#9 - Stanford - neck and neck in play with Cal
#10 - Boise State - who gives a schit bout dem', but yes they won.

So this means that the only ones in the top 5 that won is Alabama and LSU.

is this going to mean a rematch or not?

Yeah. I know we've got one more weekend to go..... but.... it's doubtful Auburn will beat Bama. Arkansas could beat LSU. So anything is possible.

Odds of a rematch looking very high right now.

Of course the Dawgs could really rock the boat by upsetting LSU in the title game...

College football - you gotta love it.
