Thanks. The advice line of Kaiser seems to think that it is a neuroma - or swollen nerve that runs between the toes. Not sure. I would love to have them take some x-rays to rule out anything bone related, but we'll see. For the meantime, trying to do some sedentary cleaning and organizing and movie watching. I am not good at being this inactive.

Penny developed a neuroma for the heavy barbell lifting she was doing. She basically gave up the barbell lifting to let it "break up".

well, I guess I get to 'officially' join the thread since it is Tuesday. No scale (diving or scale, easy choice :D). Right now not going to focus on the weight loss aspect, I should focus on the lifestyle change instead. So starting about thursday of last week been doing about 20-30mins in the pool swimming or treading water as well as a 15-20min fast paced walk with one of my dogs.

On monday I REALLY felt sundays workout as my thighs were just sore as hell.

Lifestyle changes are good and "more better"!!

It's 5 five minutes "rounds" each round consists of 5 exercises for 1 minute each and 1 minute break between each round. Basically combining cardio with strength training at the same time. Sort of like the insanity workout, but not as insane!

Come join me.

High intensity metabolic conditioning can be fun!

Since last Saturday it's been lots of loading boxes, ripping out carpet (ugh!!), unloading boxes, mowing an acre lot with 18" high grass with a push mower until my John Deere is delivered. Long, late hours taking on a "fixer upper"... but we're having fun!

I need a break and am taking it today!!! :D

Cool Beans. Sounds like fun. Got pictures?

That's a big house! Beautiful too! Congratulations!!!

Whoo hoo! I got to run tonight! Got an hour in too! The first two thirds of the run was shod. I felt clunky and really tried to work on form instead of speed or distance. When I finally pulled the shoes off, it took one set of reps (4 laps running, 1 lap walking) to loosen up. From there is was wonderful! I feel at ease and was able to pick up the pace. I didn't want to stop! Wow!! To cool down and keep limber, after getting home, I went to the back yard and pulled weeds.

Gorgeous home Bob! Congrats on your run Jenny. You are making me really jealous!

It is official. I have been diagnosed with a seasamoid fracture in my foot: Sesamoid Injuries in the Foot . I am beyond depressed. I can't even swim with kicking - only with a tow-buoy between my legs. I can possibly cycle, but I have to wear my damn surgical boot while I try it. My scheduled June-triathlon is definitely out of the question, but I am hoping that it might be healed by July. Send some positive thoughts. :(

Serious bummer, Sarita :hugs: Positive thoughts and healing vibs sent your way. I think, if it were me, I would be figuring out how to get on the dang bike! Course, there are other things to do, weightlifting, etc.
I have a friend on another board who has 3 stress fractures in his leg and feet. He will be out for 6 weeks. You both are my inspiration..

I have to do something - that's for sure. I would love to hear if your friend has any recommendations from his doctor re exercise. It is just a big pain in the foot. :)
