first off, check out the last video below... it's effin hilarious....

How long was the player locked into the room? Sorry!

I wondered that also. Three hours. To me that was abusive of the coach from a professional standpoint. I mean I can't lock someone I'm in charge of at work in a room for 3 hours. (or I would have done it already!)

Here's what I've seen in media reports.

1.) Adam James had a concussion diagnosed by the team doctor
2.) Mike Leach looked him in a storage room for three hours (see below) and second occasion in a different room
3.) Leach didn't think he did anything wrong and refused to apologize
4.) several players stated that Adam James did not have a good work ethic.
5.) Apparently he was locked in the room not once, but twice.
6.) The university fired him a few days before they would have had to pay a $800,000 bonus if he was still coach on Dec 31, per his contract.
7.) Adam James was smart enough to use his cell phone to video himself in the room he was confined to. (which was prob pretty damning against his coach (see video below)).

This is also the same coach that forbid players from having Twitter accounts after a player 'tweeted' something negative about the coach being late for team meeting and they had to sit in the room waiting on him.

from Texas Tech Red Raiders suspend coach Mike Leach for Valero Alamo Bowl - ESPN

A source close to the family said James sustained a concussion on Dec. 16, was examined on Dec. 17 and told not to practice because of the concussion and an elevated heart rate. The source said Leach called a trainer and directed him to move James "to the darkest place, to clean out the equipment and to make sure that he could not sit or lean. He was confined for three hours.

A source told The Associated Press that James said Leach told him if he came out, he would be kicked off the team.

According to the source, Leach told the trainer, two days later, to "put [James] in the darkest, tightest spot. It was in an electrical closet, again, with a guard posted outside."

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported that the university had given Leach until Monday to write an apology and suspended him when he did not. But two sources close to Leach disputed that account, saying the coach was not offered the opportunity to make an apology.

An attorney for Leach said that while James was secluded twice, the circumstances were not as portrayed in that account.

Liggett said that on another occasion, James was placed in a "press room with air-conditioning and a stationary bike he could use."

In this video, he turned the lights on real quick to shoot the room and quickly turned them back out. (as he was put in the room in the dark).

Yes! The VOLS sure didn't help the SEC last night. They finished like they started! :depressed:

The Vols's got their asses handed to them.

They clearly weren't prepared.

Auburn is on.... they just scored. 7-0 War Eagle!

A win is a win, no matter how ugly it gets! WAR EAGLE

yawn............ anyone else watching Florida play Cincinnati ?

The BCS rankings system is so screwed up with it's rankings and match-ups.

Florida 30, Cincinnati 3 at Halftime

At halftime, Florida has 384 total yards compared to Cincinnati's 55. Cincinnati has 60 yards passing and -5 yard rushing. jeez.

why the heck was Cincinnati ranked #4 in the nation?

The SEC has a way of bringing those one time wonders back to earth. Go Gators!

yeah... teams that think they are great usually never have to play hard playing teams in the SEC.

And to think that Cincinnati thought it should be playing for the National Championship?

I mean they are negative 5 yards tonight for rushing :shocked2:

BTW.... since my last post... Florida scored again.

it's 37-3 with 10 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
