Also, here's some new video taken this morning of our new Mike VI........he was let out yesterday in his habitat(a week early, btw, cuz he was adjusting so quickly)...He's 2 years old and weights 300 lbs....In 3 years he's expected to be 700 lbs(if anyone remembers the previous one, Mike V, he topped out @ 380 lbs)..this one will be huge, ought to scare the **** out of some of the visiting players(they park him in his trailer right in front of the visitors locker room during pregame warmups)..............enjoy and................GEAUX TIGERS..............

>

Do they take him to any of the games?

For example, UNA takes it's Lion to I know the home games. They've got a nice enclosed double axel trailer that's air-condidtioned with thick plexiglass sides. It's pretty neat. I don't know if they still do that though.

Well, I guess this weekend sorta showed that polls before anyone plays is like **** on a boar hog. #5 Michigan destroyed by Appy. WT##@?????
On another note: My VOLS' defense was SCHOOLED by the Cal offense. Embarrassing!
We'll see how it all comes out in the end, when it counts.

This is Mike VI---- they took thru Mike III on the road, to N.O., up to Shreveport, maybe Houston etc ie 'near' away games.......Now, they don't-- only to all home games, have a trailer they load him up in & bring him for a onetime around the stadium floor(see pic)

.....before that trip, they park him in front of the visitors dressing room for about an hour for pregame warmups.....We also have a new(1 year old) 4 million dollar tiger habitat for Mike, absolutely 2nd to none in the world.....He is one pampered tiger, lol--has his own private tiger vet(LSU Vet school)..............

UTK's season is over for winning a MNC(isn't that 's what counts, lol.....).......You dropped to #24 & still have to play a full SEC schedule......The SEC is brutal, but not all college fb fans realize that......As far as USuCk, please let us catch them in a bowl game, please......GEAUX TIGERS...........

While my greatest loyalties lie with the orange and blue tigers of the SEC, I sure hope some one gets to put USC in their place. I remember playing them in the Citrus Bowl when I was in college, we soundly whipped them then. However, I have never seen another school that was as hateful as the fans and students from USC were. Every school has its obnoxious drunks, unfortunately there are plenty of those with in the SEC. However, at each campus in the SEC opposing teams fans and students will also be met by fans who are gracious hosts whether the home team one or lost and who will honestly compliment the opponents of any aspect of a job well done. The thing that I remember most about USC is that there wasn't a single fan or student that I met while I was in Orlando for that bowl game who was not obnoxious and rude. I was wearing an Auburn band uniform and was down on the field with their players and cheerleaders who shouted obscenities at us and threw cups of ice and sweat rags at us as we awaited our turn to march at half-time. Even the band members from USC turned their noses up at us and wouldn't give us the time of day making rude jokes when we just tried to strike up a conversation--very different from any band at any other school I've ever heard of (the music connection is supposed to find common ground regardless of where you are from). Needless to say this has soured me on USC for all time. I will always root for their opponents. And just by association with USC I consider the rest of the PAC 10 to be suspect although I haven't had a game experience with any of them.

It was good to see Tebow connect a bunch of passes... yeah, the hilltoppers probably couldn't beat UCF. It was like an Orange and Blue scimmish, part deux, with the first team playing the third string. :D

The AP Poll is out. I bumps both Florida and Auburn down from the USA TODAY poll.

Here's top 10 + the SEC

6. Florida
7. WIsonsin
8. Oklahoma
9. Virginia Tech
10. Louisville
13. Georgia
15. Tennessee
18. Auburn
21. Arkansas

Boy... big changes in a few teams from last week Here's the top 10 again + all SEC in the top 25.

AP Top 25 - Week 1

24. Tennessee 0-1 210 (down from #15 last week)

Though not SEC, notice that Michigan went from #5 to "dropped from list" after their upset loss to Appalachian State last week.

Michigan's loss just goes to show that pre-season polls don't mean squat until about 4 weeks into it.

Time is the only truth.

Interesting how the SEC has only two teams in the top 10 and the Pac-10 has two teams in the top 10. BTW, UCLA is ranked 13th.

But I stand by my initial statement.

My brother and I went to the Cotton Bowl last year (Auburn vs. Nebraska) and we sat in the end zone seats over by the Auburn band. I was very impressed with the sound of the band and the good-natured attitude of the Auburn fans. I even discovered something that I had not realized before -- that everyone spells out A-U-B-U-R-N at the end of "Glory, Glory, Auburn Tigers!" :D

P.S. -- I totally agree with you about USC. That is the most obnoxious school in the entire NCAA. I despise the Trojans!

I was at that cotton bowl last year as well. We had both Auburn and Nebraska fans sitting on our row. We had good natured teasing through out the game and while I am glad that my team won, I have no problem saying that Nebraska played well and could have easily won the game instead. After the game walking back to the car, I saw fans of both schools congratualing one another on a game well played. I'm sure there were some fans from both sides that weren't nice to each other but I didn't see them. Both Auburn and Nebraska fans showed good sportsmanship which is true of most schools and is one of the things that makes the games enjoyable. I won't have any problem cheering for Nebraska in the future, as long as they aren't playing an SEC team.
