that doesn't sound that bad..... when you interested in that?

is there a season or rules for getting the crabs? I assume you just have to
have a flo-rida fishin' license.

Those last crabs were kinda kamikazi. I've never seen them that agressive.

No real season, (closed Sept 20-Oct 4, so I think we can work around that)although we'll want to wait for the dredging to finish, and the tidal scour to occur.

Florida Saltwater license, no egg-bearing females, no minimum (but we will be discretionary, being divers and all), 10 gallons whole per person per day.

the regs apply to trap fishermen, and don't single out special regs for divers (although common sense will be applied - no spearing, gigging, etc). Hand nets will probably be allowed - but much less fun.

We have jetties in AL too :) and I know a few spots that don't require a 1/4 mile hike.

I'll bet you can get crabs in Alabama, too eyebrow

Yet another saltwater license I'll have to pick up.

I don't see a recreational limit, but shrimp boats can only take 5 gals

Recreational Crabbing...No License Required...(5 traps maximum)
1. Individuals can use up to, but not more than, five (5) crab traps for taking
crabs for personal, noncommercial purposes without purchasing a license.
2. No person, shall take, catch, or possess blue crabs that measure less than five
inches (5") carapace width as measured from the tip of one lateral spine to tip of
the opposite lateral spine.

wow... I checked condo price for the condo we stay in at Destin. they want $2100/week for the 1br condo we stay in usually. (in june) that place is just getting too dang expensive.

(expecially when we can get two tickets to Grand Cayman and 7 nights at the Wyndham for $2300. Or we stayed at the Aruba Wyndham for 7 nights and airfare for $1540 (for two people on all costs)).
