There have been an awful lot of guests with no users looking at this thread....meaning probably that the "content Nazis" or "Censors" are trying to decide if we should be allowed to continue this conversation, or if they need to take it away from us.... Color me "wondering".

This has turned into the same old "deep air" debate that we have seen many times. It will continue forever and there will never be a definite right or wrong answer. Times have changed but many of the "old school" divers that have evolved still have a lot of old school thinking.

Much like the solo diving debate will never have, oh nevermind................

Well, this one really isnt as much about the gas as it usually is though. Theres a fair ammount of agreement in the thread that the po2 is tolerable for the extent of this sort of dive and that with enough planning and training it can be done fairly safely.
However the major disagreement is how much training and planning "enough" is..

Has anyone stopped to consider the redundancy allowed by bringing a Spare Air? It will up the OP's odds of survival by at least 15% says the statistic I pulled from THIN air...

You really want to stir the pot.....

Interesting thought. Is this a case where a spare air reduces risk but a buddy may increase risk?

I'm starting to think this dive is doable :), and worst case, just inflate your BC with your last remaining AIR to bring your dead body to the surface to make recovery easier on everyone.

You and vPlanner differ by about 25 minutes of deco.

I'm pretty sure I know which one I'd use

It's not my plan, see post #47, and I already said it might get you bent, see post #67. vPlanner and I are on the same page, see post #26
