I'm trying to decide on my first computer and I'm a noob diver. I'm looking for something that's of decent quality, easy to use and has a little "room to grow." I need to keep to $400 or less. Currently I'm considering the following:

Suunto Vyper 2
Oceanic Veo 100nx
Aeris XR-2
Mares Puck

Your opinions would be appreciated.

You can still get a Veo 180NX---DC'ed but still will give you many years of good use--for under $200US.......here's one place but somewhere else(can't remember off hand) they were even cheaper........I'll post if i remember where.....

Vyper 2 is excellent..... but no longer in production. Now replaced by Vyper Air.
Vyper 2 is a very nice bit of kit and first class for entry for you as can do nitrox and gas switch switch and therefroe has some future proof for you.

One of my favorite must-have features is the dive simulator, which the Vyper and likely Vyper 2 has.
