Wow..., I could remember reading about it when I was a kid in the Cleveland Press ...long since gone itself. Guess, a little Gordon Lightfood is indeed called for...

Actually, Thursday, Nov. 10th, will mark the 30th anniversary of the sinking. But, yes it is a tremendous story. I went to the memorial at the Mariner's Church in Detroit for the 25th anniversary and it was incredibly moving. Gordon Lightfoot was there with several family members. What a somber service.

I just finished reading Mighty Fitz : The Story of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Michael Schumacher. It's a great read and I'd highly recommend it.
