I'm with you FNman, Cali diving rocks! I've ben outta town for 2 months, finally gettin' home tomorrow, Ahhh! I forgot it's opening night?? I don't hunt and gather anymore, but the opening night buzz is alwayz fun, I missed it!

Captain Bobby Meistrel (Founder of Body Glove/Dive'n'Surf) explained it this way to me about Cali diving (paraphrased) "Don, I could live anywhere in the world I want, but I live here because you can't get any better diving than the California kelp forests!"... I don't travel much, but I totally got it.

Can't wait to solo Saturday (all the Bugster divers will be sleeping in ;~) I plan to have the Pacific to myself.

PS, are you a FN FAL fan FNFAL Man? We did some fun shootin' in New Mex.

HT... woke up to thunder and dark clouds over Catalina this morning. Hopefully it will clear before I dive. This has been a STRANGE weather year. Warm water in winter, cool water in summer, thunderstorms in early October. I think the world is coming to an end. Hope it doesn't happen before you get one more chance to dive our kelp forests.

I know what you mean. Their website schedule has not been working. They are on facebook, but don't seem to respond often. The October 16 trip aboard the Mr. C is a dive shop charter from Redondo Beach called Sea d Sea.

Dr. Bill, unless the charters cancel the trips, I am going!!!

Hoping for some of that famous food from the galley wrench LeeAnne.

Galley wrench? BAHAHAHAHA!!! :rofl3:

Yes, I'll be there - both as galley wench, and diving! :D. I'll bring lemon bars, and my homemade potato salad. (I don't think Pat would let me onboard unless I brought my potato salad!)

I'm pretty sure I've got my husband talked into going as well. He hasn't even been on Mr. C yet, so it's about time. Dennis and HT, you both met him that time we were all on Peace for my birthday.

See ya in a couple weeks!

I give up...where's the schedule found for the Mr. C?

Their website is still a work-in-progress. They go out most Saturdays with a charter from Sea-d-Sea, so you can always check their schedule here.

They also do open boats sometimes. There's a phone number on Mr. C's webpage - you can call that, or use the contact form to send them an email.

If you don't get a fast response, please drop me a PM. I get instant notification of SB PMs on my blackberry, so I'll contact you quickly, I promise. :)

Ah yes, your personal porter. I remembered him well.:D

It's on like Donkey Kong!!!

BAHAHAHAHA! :rofl3: Yep, that's the dude. Hey, that falls under the category of "husbandly duties": lawn care, vehicle maintenance, and dive gear portage! :blinking:
