Oh yeah!!! Gonna be in Bakersfield for half a week so I'm going to avail myself for some good old fashion SoCal Channel Islands diving. Friday is with the Spectre boat and Saturday with Mr. C. A bit of Anacapa (hopefully Santa Cruz too) and a bit of Catalina. Airline ticket is ready, gear is packed. I'm ready to rock & roll.

It's like returning to mother's womb...the prospect of submerging into that luscious Pacific water brings tears of joy to my eyes.

It will be good to have you back with us HT.
I am planning to be aboard the Mr. C, (have not signed up yet), as well as my two friends.
Hoping for some of that famous food from the galley wrench LeeAnne.
My son is also planning on coming down from San Jose to go with us, it would be his first dive post OW cert.
Let us have good weather & ocean conditions.

You really miss us... or at least our waters!

That would be awesome.

Yes to both!!!

Wow, that Mr. C boat looks a bit popular. As you know, I am hoping to make it there on the 16th for my first boat dive. :)

I hope you enjoy yourself, HT!

It'd also be awesome to see you there for your first non-class dive.

I moved from So Cal 30 years ago. Too expensive, too many people, too much tax, too much crime, too much smog.

Funny thing is I keep coming back to dive every chance I get, still think it is the best overall locations in the US. One you are on the water, it is paradise. 8 days and counting until another trip to Catalina.

Welcome back HT, I hope the diving will be spectacular for you.

Hi Dave,

It will be spectacular regardless of actual viz and water condition.

You don't know how much you missed this stuff until you dive in 45-F water that's green with muck and you see like one fish and one crawdad in four dives.

That would suck....
