    Convert cable to slave?

Someone has loaned me an Olympus point and shoot with a housing. I want to know if there is a device to convert my Sea and Sea YS-60 strobe to a slave so I don't have to buy a new one right away. Thanks.

    Cool older instrument

I don't think this is particularly vintage, but it's odd and I'd thought I'd share. My wife found this yesterday in a thrift store. It's in perfect conditon and still has a label on the side identifying it as model SK-80. A compass/capillary gauge combo.

    Dive Rite STA review/rant

I just got a Dive Rite stainless STA from someone. This is about the STA, NOT the person I bought it from. I'd buy from him again in a heartbeat. Got it? And I DID use the search button, and nothing specific about the STA came up except for "not too beefy". The STA is the most expensive...

    Wierd choice of commercial music

I don't know if this belongs here or @ Whine and Cheese, it's more wonderment than complaint: I am a professional musician so I noticed this. I'm sure I didn't dream it. There is a car commercial on the radio, I forget what company. The background music is a fully orchestrated version of...

    Weight Pockets for BP

I set up a friend of mine with a BP and wings to use on a Hawaii trip cupla weeks ago. I don't even own one, but it seemed like the best (only) thing to fit him. I put it together and we went diving. He's quite a hefty guy. No room for a weight belt AND the harness strap. We experimented by...

    Excel HELP!!!

As an exercise in learning to use Excel, I am putting together a simple Nitrox calculator. It's all fun and I'm learning quite a bit but am baffled by the syntax for the following problem: I have this formula (yes, it works): =((D11-0.21)/(B13-0.21))*D10 I want this to show nothing or N/A...

    YEEHAW! Large critters everywhere!

I'm a virgin no longer! Yesterday I saw my first Giant Black Sea Bass (stereolepis gigas). After living in California for 7 years I finally saw one. There aren't that many things in local waters bigger than me, but this is one. 350 lbs. of behemoth bass! Saw two, or maybe the same one twice...
