Hello everyone,
I am planning for my first airline trip with dive gear. I intend to take everything carry-on. I am unclear about the regulations on cutters. Is my safety cutter on my harness considered as something that can only go in checked luggage?
Thanks in advance for the clarifications.
Hello,
Can anyone quote CGI C-6 referencing the requirement for visual inspections. I believe annual is a self-imposed industry standard but I want to know exactly what the legal requirement says and I don't want to pay $150 just for that small piece of the publication to simply satisfy my...
I'm sure this has been covered somewhere but I am hoping for specific info from a specific group of divers. I am getting the last few bits of gear to start my DSAT deep course.
I would like feedback from divers who regularly take their gear below 150' and below 40 degrees F. My instructor...
I did not move fast enough while the Golem Gear was selling inexpensively. Now the price is WAY up. Does anyone know where to get a sturdy singles wing for under $275? Or even a setup like Golem was selling a while back including the plate for about $300?
Also, it seems that I have heard a...
I'm not sure how to search for previous posts on this topic. If it has been discussed please point me to the thread. If it has not, can anyone list for me the computers that will allow me to switch gas mixtures mid dive? I don't need helium or anything fancy at this point. I would like to switch...
Heres how the weight pocket project went...
After a entire evening of my life that I will never get back I decided I would not be able to sew pockets together by this weekend. I had taken some cordura and after sewing a webbing strap to what was to be the back side, doubled it over a piece of...
Anyone really familiar with sla batts? I'm not sure what they mean by sealed if they release gas while charging. What I want to know is if the leads are isolated and sealed is the battery submersible? What kind of preassures might is withstand if it is?
Thanks. :shades:
I have recently come across the designation SAC. I cannot remember what it stands for. I am thinking it has something to do with rate of air consumption. Can anyone refresh my memory please? Thanks.
Two teeth in my drysuit zipper are loose. The part of the zipper that holds the teeth seems to be dammaged. The zipper does not leak and can still be opened and closed but sometimes becomes jambed at one of those points. Does anyone have any ideas on how to repair these spots so I can keep...
When overdriving a lamp is there a factor of reactance which effects the E*I formula? Running a 50w lamp at 12v draws 4.16w. Does sourcing the same lamp with 18v cause 74.9w and draw the same 4.16w?
Thanks for the clarification.
